What is Red Curb Comedy?

Red Curb Comedy is a theatre located in Avon offering all styles of comedy from improv, stand-up, sketch and alternative variety.

Our mission is to cultivate an atmosphere where performers and audiences come together for a night of joyful escape filled with laughs and fun.

We specialize in Improv Comedy! What is Improv Comedy?

Improv is a style of comedy where a group of comedic performers/actors create scenes, characters, and stories on-the-spot, right-before-your-eyes, based on audience suggestions. Nothing is pre-planned or written - everything is all made up in that moment. Improvisers and Audiences are all along for the ride together as each show progresses and the comedy, characters, and stories are discovered. No two shows are ever the same!

Red Curb improvisers will create shows utilizing both short and long form improv styles and structures. What does that mean? It just means that some of the improv will take place as a series of short unconnected games (short form) and some of the improv will take place as a series of interconnected scenes and characters to create longer stories (long form). Either way, all you really need to know is that all of these shows will build to hilarious, ridiculous, unexpected, and fun results!
